Icehouse Waterfront in Swansboro

They are wonderful! The power got knocked off right after we ordered. They were very willing to accommodate us when power was regained and called us when it was. Even though they were booked, they gave us the same table and had our orders on hand! The food was 5 star! We can't say enough good about the service and amazing food! Thank you for a very memorable last night!!!!

The waterfront views were beautiful, service was prompt, and staff was courteous. Everything we ordered was seasoned beautifully, tasting fresh & delicious.

Great food! Great atmosphere! Friendly staff. Reasonably priced for surf and turf meals. Has some unique dishes that will expand your "taste threshold"! Would highly recommend it.

The owners Ryan and his family do a beautiful job at preserving the serenity and peacefulness of the intercoastal waterway. The food and drinks here are awesome. I definitely reccomend swinging through here to all people visiting the historic town of Swansboro.

Neat location. Menu was just right, not too much or too slim selection-wise. Ordered fish and chips which was excellent. The dessert was excellent too. Caryn our server was friendly and efficient. Terrific atmosphere inside. All said we'll be back.

The food was amazing. My husband and I both enjoyed it. The food was hot and very well prepared. Our waiter was friendly and courteous. Thank you Eric we will definitely be coming again.

Not what it once was. Still great fried shrimp and flounder but quality of the rest of the menu has lost it's luster.

Fun place with good food where I could sit by the waters edge. Service was good and the swordfish steak makes me reconsider eating seafood more often.

We ate at their sister restaurant. I enjoyed dining here. Its very quaint and inviting. I appreciated our attentive server. I usually won't try anyone else's boiled shrimp other than my dad's. But it was just as amazing as his. Their ahi tuna was delicious. I Definitely recommend checking it out.!

Lady Brassey Salad with Salmon is the BOMB. Good service and food came out quickly.....Grateful they respect a Gluten Free customer too. Some live music on the deck would be cool.....if only just an acoustic guitar or DO with some Vinyl.

Tasty food. Friendly staff. If the weather is nice, eat outside and enjoy the view. Parking is tight but if you're willing to walk you can park further away.

My boyfriend and I went there for dinner. Wonderful food and service. The only negativity would be the loud atmosphere.

Overall a very good experience. There is a great and above average selection of wine, beer and specialty drinks. The menu has a ton of great seafood options. We ordered 4 different dishes. The crab dip starter was excellent. The side salads a dressings were all excellent. No one left a bite! We all felt some of the side dishes were not as good as the main dishes but there is so much food that it didn't matter at all! The service was also excellent.

When ever we go there. The food and service is always great. Nice bartenders and waiting staff. It's our go to in Swansboro.

Restaurant is gone, but they're cooking at a few tables on the dock. Fish Poboy was excellent as well as the fried shrimp!! Restaurant is supposed to be back in 2020

Waitress was very helpful and nice. Called for seating for 9. Said they do not accept reservations said if we were to come around five we would be good. Got there at 4:40. Said they did not have seating for us even though the whole side section was completely empty. Said it was reserved for other customers. So they seated us out side in two booths. In the blaring down sun with a four month old and a four year old! After a half hour we left and still all the seats were empty inside! Unreal!

Great food, great service.

We had the crab dip and the baked brie to start off. They were amazing! The crab dip comes with homemade bread and the best chips I have ever had. The baked brie was covered in shaved almonds and cherries. It was absolutely fantastic. I had the tropical shrimp curry (pictured). I ate it until I was full. I ate it after I was full. I could not control myself. It was one of the best things I have ever put in my mouth.GO HERE. IT IS WORTH IT.

Food and service were both excellent

Great evening. It was a long wait because we had a large group including a wheelchair and two high chairs. But they were very accommodating. And we could walk around the waterfront while waiting. Sean was our server and he was wonderful. Joked with us, kept a very good eye on drinks and interacted well with the kids. Drinks were yummy and lots of choices on the draft list. Rockefeller oysters for an app were perfectly delicious. I ordered the surf and turf and my filet minion was cooked to perfection. Shrimp had great flavor. Mashed potatoes were to die for. Alaskan crab legs were perfectly cooked and delicious as well!A must visit. Amazing food, service and atmosphere.

Wonderful as always! They were busy and we ate at the bar. Mike had prime rib and i had chicken marsala . Service was great! Ryan was wonderful!

Terrific food with a varied menu, located on the waterfront! Beautiful. On cold days/nights, take a sweater because it's cold inside as well! The older building, coupled with walls of windows make for a chili dining experience. However, the views and the food make up the difference and set the Icehouse as a must visit.

Outstanding location. Really good fresh seafood and good local beer selection. Recommend you eat from the specials menu. These are fresh based off the local catch. Haven't been disappointed yet. Little pricey

I had such high expectations based on the reviews and wait time to get a table. The buffalo shrimp appetizer was amazing. The large sized shrimp were excellent and fried perfectly.For our entrees my wife ordered the sea scallops pan seared. The scallops were just slightly undercooked to our liking but were seasoned well. I ordered the shrimp and grits since the shrimp appetizer was so delicious. Unfortunately this was the worst shrimp and grits I have had. Instead of the large shrimp they used for the appetizer, they used tiny popcorn shrimp. What a huge disappointment to see tiny uncleaned shrimp. The grits were unseasoned and overcooked. No onions or peppers or Andouilli sausage. The watermelon salsa was only cutup watermelon placed over the grits which made the grits cold. Bad plate all over. Maybe I just ordered the wrong dish. However, shrimp and grits are an iconic dish that this restaurant cannot make properly.

First time dining here and on Christmas Eve. Nice place and atmosphere. Chose the Shrimp and Grits; fantastic and filling. Others in my group chose the Pesto and Pecan encrusted grouper and the Grouper Royale; all was enjoyed. Overall, nice place, was sat right away and served our entrees within half an hour. We will be back to enjoy another meal.

Zachlynn is a great waitress! She took care of 8 crazy ladies and suggested the Tai Shrimp curry. Just the right amount of spice.Delicious.

All the bar staff are fantastic! Great selection of beers on tap and always a friendly face. They have live music on the weekends on the patio. It’s cozy and comfortable with a beautiful view of the water. The menu is diverse and delicious- especially the Cajun Chicken Pasta and sweet potato fries.

One of my favorite restaurants in the area. Great views of the water, very nice craft beer tap list with many NC beers, delicious sea food.

Both food and the service was excellent. Was seated immediately and received our order very quickly. Lots of menu choices and prices are very reasonable. Tons of craft beers on tap and probably 3-4x as many available in the bottle. We are only here for a couple of days but I think we will return before we leave.
